Hi,
I have an fresh installed Win 2016 Server (Std. Edt. GUI) without any special customizations and receive this error message:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160}
and APPID
{9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.
Any Ideas?

Pool resiliency for uers homed on SBA
Hello all,
I'm trying to achieve high availability scenario. We have a SFB pool in location A and another one in location B. But I have the following question:
What is going to happen in case of an outage in location A with users homed on an SBA? This SBA is connected to the SFB pool from location A. The SBA or pool from location B will take over the services for this users?

FOr SBA/SBS your central pool is the backup pool.If the SBA or SBS not available the central pool will act as backup registrar.If central site is unavailable the SBA still be operational and you need manually update the registrar pool to second pool.

Have you added the second pool in the existing topology on pool 1 and under resiliency tab > Is automatic fail over selected which will point to the second pool
Get-CsManagementStoreReplicationStatus do you see both the pools listed in here?
Also get-csuserpoolinfo will tell you if the backend server is visible

I Have two forest Like:- Forest A and Forest B and Each forest having 2 domain.
Scenario:- Forest A having Windows server 2012 R2 for all domain and forest B having Windows server 2008 R2 for all domain and forest B domain have some application as well as some services.
Now my question is, how i can migrate all domain from from forest B to Forest A.
Can any help me on this with steps...???

Are you talking about Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center?
If you are meaning Windows Media Player:
1.Open Control Panel
2.Click on Turn Windows features on or off.
3.Scroll down to Media Features –> Windows Media Player
4.Uncheck the box against Windows Media Player.
5.Reboot.
6.Repeat steps 1-3 as mentioned above.
7.Put a check mark against the box Windows Media Player.
If you are meaning Windows Media Center:
Repeat all the steps as mentioned above but uncheck and check the box against Windows Media Center.
If it is Windows Media Center then you must uninstall,reinstall and update the TV Tuner driver from the website of the manufacturer.

Centrally Configuring/Deploying Contact Lists
As an Administrator, I would like to manage users "Contact Lists" or at least be able to deploy to each user a generic Contact List in their Skype For Business. For example, many people don't use the Contact list and instead just rely on "Favorites" or searching for someone. Some staff have added some other staff to their contact lists but not all staff. It's very messy. I'd like all Staff to have the same Groups and Contacts.
Is this possible?

Error - "Safe error has been closed"
I am encountering this strange error.All the while this server has been working fine and all of a sudden(from past week or so) I receive this error.I have to restart the server then it would work fine.After a while it would come back.I tried searching using event ID and was of no use.Did anyone encounter this error.If so whats the error and what are the preventive actions.
Please let me know ASAP.

Thanks for your reply.But this is happening when I am trying to consume the orchestration published as a web service.this has been working from past 8 months with out any problem.And all of a sudden I get this error.And secondly this is what is seen in the event viewer and no other details.

I started to get this last Friday on my SIT box that was working fine previously to this, it happens when I send a message into an orchestration that is exposed as a web service, the machine setup is Windows 2003, BizTalk 2006 R2
At the same time I am getting an ASP.NET 2.xxx error:

I normally get this error when there is some issue with BizTalk databse server. I have experienced this when there were locks in the database, we were getting timeouts. Once I got this error when there was huge data in messagebox because of job not working properly. I would advise you to run messageboxviewer (http://blogs.technet.com/jpierauc/pages/msgboxviewer.aspx) to see if there are any issues with your settings.

We recently suffered from the same error. In our case it turned out that the database server could not be reached. We use several NIC's and in certain scenario's the wrong NIC was used.

I am trying to create a batch file which should :
1) Check if the system contains any MS Office version - 2010 or above installed on it. If yes, it should proceed to step 2, otherwise end the statement.
2) Check if a folder named "C:\ABC" exists. If yes, then quit the statement, otherwise start installation of a package as per defined commands.
I have tried but not sure how to achieve the syntax for Office detection, I was able to successfully create the another syntax though :

Hello,
I know, thats the reason I wanted help with finding it out if it was installed under Add/Remove and an entry using WMI etc.
The folder is for another application which is an add-in and is dependent upon Office. So if Office is not installed, it should exit.
Would be great if you could provide the complete script as per requested requirements mentioned in the original post. As I had created the batch file for the second part to detect the Add-IN but not sure of the first one.
In case the Add-In is not available in-spite of Office installed, it then directs it to install the add-in which has a batch file further integrated. Would be nice to get the first part in batch file to detect the Office installation, rest should be good to go.

Hello jrv,
I am trying to achieve this via SCCM. have tried but for some reasons it does not yield the expected results.
It needs to check if either 2010, 2013 or 2016 is installed, and if the path of a folder exists, if yes, then needs to take action otherwise skip.
So, looking for a batch file as not very sure of the code for this one.

SharePoint 2013 - Deploy files from a document library to an externally hoset website
Hi - I have a need to copy (and maintain) documents from a SharePoint 2013 Document Library to an externally hosted website.
We are looking to update our corporate website to a hosted site (controlled by us) and as part of the update need to place copies of all our policies, procedures etc. on this external website. To mitigate the need to upload document to an external and internal location we would like a solution that, based on certain parameters, would automatically upload a document from our SharePoint 2013 library to the hosted website.
We currently have SharePoint 2007 and run deployment jobs to keep our external site (outside our DMZ) in sync with the internal site (staging site). At present the new external website is an unknown as we are in the process of creating the specification - just putting the feelers out to see if people have done similar projects, what applications/technologies they used and if you have any advice.
