FIM CM 2010R2: ig_WebGrid_dom.js script error when Searching for Users and Groups
Hi,
I have FIM CM 2010R2 (latest hotfix applied, v4.1.2548) installation in my test lab. Almost everything works flawlessly, there are some minor glitches, like the one bellow:
When I perform Search for Users and Groups, the operation will return the list. When I try to scroll the list, browser will display an error:
An error has occured in the script on this page.
Unable to get value of the property 'init': object is null or undefined
line: nnnn, Char: 2
URL: https://<server_FQDN>/CertificateManagement/infragistics/20053clr20/Scripts/ig_WebGrid_dom.js
If I click "No", the error notification window closes and I can scroll the list no problem. So it is only cosmetic glitch...
Based in the post http://www.infragistics.com/community/forums/p/72667/367672.aspx, the problem is the compatibility issue between the (very old) Infragistics WevGrid libraries that FIM CM uses and newer Internet Explorer (9.0 and 10.0) browsers.
Any idea on how to solve this issue? I guess Infragistics components in FIM CM should be updates.

Help change my Music Location
Hi, I just installed Windows 8 and try Xbox music, I want to add a playlist but I don't have a song in Music library, I checked in forum that I should change location to where my Song is, but in the middle of changing it, I got problem, after I right click my folder location,
it says : "Error 0x8007000E Not enough storage is available to complete this operation".
How to change my Music location guys ? please help Me !

How to deploy the runbooks on the Orchestrator server
Hi,
I have created some runbooks on my Orchestrator server use Runbook Designer , and I have tested them, they're running well.
but in the Orchestration Console, I cannot find any runbook.
how can I deploy the runbooks to the server then I can mamage them by the Orchestration Console?

I find many warning on the Runbooks Designer's Events pan. as following:

this is a test environment.
I installed the SQL on the DC, it's running well. and install Orch on another Server, and closed all the windows firewalls.
I use Domain/administrator as all of the services' account. and use Domain/administrator to login on all the servers.
I checked the causes in the lind you provided ,but find no issue.

in the technet webpage about deploy runbook, http://technet.microsoft.com/zh-cn/library/hh403817.aspx. it just said something about Version Control, without the steps to deploy the runbooks. does it means we need not to deploy the runbooks, or it means that the runbooks are deployed automaticly when we check it in?

Hi,
as Peter I think that Orchestrator has problems to connect to the specfied Database because a) you can't see any Runbooks in Orchestrator Console and b) Runbook Service can't connect to Database.
Is the Orchestrator Runbook Server running with the same account than Orchestrator Management Server. Are you able to "chek in" in the Runbooks in Designer?

yes Stefan,
I installed all of the Orchestrator roles on the same server. and installed the SQL on my DC Server . the services account and the login account all is domain\administrator.
and I can check in the runbooks well.
and I can find the runbooks object in the dbo.Objects table in SQL.

windows 7 vpn "split tunneling disable" how to
i have a VPN client that has "split tunneling disabled" i was wondering if there is a way to work around it to gain access to my local drive and printer.
i have tried the "route" modification and failed.
how is it that the vpn client can lock me out?
is there any windows registry key to get me around the lockout?

Could you tell me which VPN software did you use, the Cisco client, the Windows 7 built-in or other client software?
Try to right click your VPN connection---properties---Networking---IPv4 or IPv6---Properties---Advanced---IP settings---Use default gateway on remote network

The Bind registry value is a multi-string value that contains a list of network adapters in binding order. The first entry in the list is the first bound network adapter; the second entry is the second network adapter in the binding order; and so forth.

hello Leo,
i switched the AVENTAIL and my local lan card in the binding but still did not work.
looks like this VPN client is hooking to the tunneling at a different level. as i'm not familiar with this maybe there is another location?
"tracert" shows timeout to the local network. i made sure the "route" has my local ip pointing to the ip address of the NIC.

Windows 7 - Firewall - Port Forwarding
Hi,
I am currently trying to set up port forwarding on my Son's computer to allow him to host a server for Minecraft.
I have allowed the port on the router and created what I think to be the correct inbound rules within the firewall allowing access to port 25565 on both UDP/TCP.
When the firewall is off the server works fine but when I enable the firewall, with what I believe to be the correct inbound rules to allow access to port 25565 for Minecraft, the server stops being able to host.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

You need to have an image viewer control to display the image on top of the thumbnail. I am not sure about content query webpart. You can achieve the same functionality merging ECMAScript and jquery.

Integration of SCCM 2007 R3 with MBAM 2.0 Beta
I am trying to integrate MBAM 2.0 Beta with the SCCM 2007 R3. When I had selected the SCCM integration topology while installing the MBAM 2.0 Beta,I was prompted to manually configure and install the MBAM mof files on the SCCM server prior to the integration
There is a link mentioned for help but found nothing useful for integration.
What configuration in the .mof files of MBAM 2.0 Beta we need to do on the SCCM server for the integration.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

I had followed the microsoft documentation to configure and install the MOF files of MBAM on SCCM 2007 R3 server.
Now, when I tried to install the "System Center CM integration" feature on the SCCM server I received the following error:-
I had already installed the Reporting Point role in the SCCM server and using it from months ago. I had never reflected any error.
Am I getting right that the error reflects for the reporting point role in the SCCM server or something else is needed?
I am not able to figure out the exact issue as the setup log file is also reflecting the same issue.

In case some one stucked to the same issue, here is the resolution:-
Install "Reporting Service Point" role on the SCCM site. Note:- This roleis other than the Reporting Point" Role in SCCM.
Copy all the reports to the Reporting Service Point. The will create a folder with name CONFIGMGR_$SITECODE$ which has all the reports copied.
Ran the installer and this time the pre-requisite check will not throw any error.

I have dell xps1530 that doesnt update for starters. I have tried about everything i know. I get error code 8007000b. I gone into bios and did like windows site said. My Usb external mouse isnt recognized by windows
Hi,
Recently my usb external mouse isnt being recognized in my windows 7 32bit machine(Hp G62-a15 SI).
I tried updating the drivers for the mouse, uninstalling and reinstalling, switching off and removing the battery and waiting 15 minutes then rebooting my machine, still no solution.
When I plug in the mice(2 of them) in other computers they work just fine, but not in mine,
When i plug in my external dvd drive, and external hard disk and usb modem, they work just fine
What do I do??

I can not understand the above message, but this was the first google link on my problem.
I got Windows Update today which required computer re-start. I did it and then there was another Windows Update, so I tried to apply it as well. In the middle of the Update it showed a dialog about Bing desktop (which I really didn't want at all). Anyway, I unchecked all the options in it, then eventually exit it. The Update showed that it failed one and again required a re-start. I re-started it and
after that it is still showing the screen 'Don't turn your computer'. It's been a while with no progress, what should I do?

Can't save anything to My Views
We use sql server 2005, Proclarity 6.3.2233
When going into Professional 6.3(2233) when opening a book, i can see 'my views' but can't save to them.
Keep getting error 'No such item. The item you requested does not exist on the server'
We recently migrated to a new domain and reinstalled proclarity. Restored the database to get all the libraries and books and were able to succesfully change connection info appropriately. The users however went from one user to a new user. I then updated the database for 1 user to show the 'favorites id' to be the new location 'favorites id'. This all seems to be right as the old books have all the information it is just that we need to repoint things. In doing this the user is able to view their My Views now.....but can NOT save/or add to them. I've tried just about everything I could possibly find online with nothing helping.
My last alternative is to take the 'exposed favorites library' and open each book for each user and save the book to a real library. Once this is done I would have to give everyone rights to that library so they could publish to it but this seems like alot of work for somehting that should be so simple.
Any clues?

Hello everyone!
Here is my story.
I develop an intranet portal for my company. Last week it worked pretty fine, there was a top navigation bar with some subsites, and left navigation bar with certain site pages. Now, after weekend, it looks like this : http://clip2net.com/s/1LBh0 - there is nothing but "Error" instead of subsites and pages at top and left bar. I didn't apply any changes to server or web application in past weekend, so there are no any actions that could cause this error from my side... Also I can access only my main site page, all attempts to access subsites or any other site pages result in error.
After setting "includeExceptionDetailInFaults=true" I found the following error in logs, which appears when I try to access subsites or load my homepage(with navigation bar ofc): "An exception occurred when trying to issue security token: The URL format was invalid.."
I couldn't find out any usefull information about how this problem could be solved, so you are my last hope guys, thank's for any advices.

Well, I temporaly got rid of the problem by removing the UserProfileService application, before GillouX's comment appeared. And it works fine now, while I don't need those sevice application. But I still would like to know, how those problem could be resolved and what was wrong with UPS.

Unfortunatly, I didn't.. As I remember, that was in a test environment, where I was just trying to understand User Profile Services. So the only way I could keep working in test environment was removing UPS, as I described in my upper posts.
Laters, I installed UPS at another test server(because did some harmfull actions to the first one without backing up), and never ever met those issue..

from SUA, got persission denied when accessing a network filesystem in a Kshell
In a command prompt (cmd) or Windows Explorer, the drive letter (say V:, a GPFS dirve, GPFS is a network filesystem from IBM) is accessible to any non-admin users. However, once I switch to SUA (Kshel), non-admin users get permission denied, while both domain\admin and local\admin can access the drive.
Even stranger, a non-admin user can access V: drive through sshing to the windows node from Openssh.
Something must be wrong in SUA.
From SUA, a ls -trl from a non-admin user shows
ls: V: Invalid argument

I do not want the browser in full screen, I like to have it open playing videos will I am working. How do I make it smaller?
You don't. You can't window any of the Metro apps "by design". You can run two of them side by side in a kind of kludgy window-esque mode (one running 25% or 75% of the screen), but nothing like you are thinking of with the full freedom of the desktop.

Exchange 2010/Outlook 2007 Latency Questions
I read this article and have some questions:
-If I had 11 total hops between client and server. Hops 1 through 3 = <1ms, hops 4 through 11 = 250ms-500ms. Would I add all ms to get a total ms to compare using this article?
-When a client is in Cache mode, how often does the client check the server for "new" or "changed" items?
-Suggestions on client configuration for best results. Ie, Cache on/off, download shared folders(exludes mail folders) on/off, security-Encryption on/off, headers/headers then full items, full items......
-Some users I have to disable download shard folders because it locks up their outlook client. (These users normally have many "shared" calendars. I believe it trying to download all the shared calendars but locks up. Just a guess.
-Users with additional mailboxes usually are more sluggish then users without additional mailboxes. Does outlook 2010 cache additional mailboxes?
-Is there any kind appliance where we can put on uplink port to help with latency? Like Riverbed....(even though I know riverbed does not work with exchange).
Suggestions.....help!!!

Hop 2 = 1ms
Hop 3 = 1ms
Hop 4 = 275ms
Hop 5 = 275ms
Hop 6 = 300ms
Hop 7 = 300ms
Hop 8 = 350ms
Hop 9 = 350ms
Hop 10 = 450ms
Hop 11 = 500ms
What would my network latency rount trip time be?

Change Owner Script
Over the past couple of months, I have been trying to figure out a way to point our users Local profile, to their soon to be, Domain profile. After lots of research, the Change Owner method, found in the WMI UserProfile class seemed to be a viable option for our environment. A user's Local account name will be the same as their Domain account name once they log in, and all of the domain accounts have currently been created and sitting in AD, waiting to be used. All my script needs is the computer name and it can go ahead and supplant every local user SID on that specified computer, with the corresponding Domain SID. As you will see in the notes, this script takes input of single or multiple values from the pipeline, parameter, and if you have a .csv you're working off of, it will take whatever is in there as well, if you wish. So, if anyone is in the middle of a profile migration and has a similar scenario, feel free to take a look and use whatever or all of what you see below! Profile migrations are never fun, so hopefully this can help anyone in need! Finger point to Don Jones and his Powershell Month of Lunches; this ebook has been EXTREMELY instrumental in everything I know about Powershell, including lots of functionality I've been able to incorporate into this script. I can't say enough about how fantastic that book is and what it has done for me-- thank you, DJ!

CAS role configure in exchange 2010 with coexistence in exchange 2007

I am setting up pilot phase of exchange 2010 migration from exchange 2007.
FIRSTLY, I want to clarify our existing setup.
i have three sites running in exch 2007 with one url called webmail.domain.com for OWA/OA/EAS every sites having one CAS server.
I want to setup exchange 2010 with separate url called owa.domain.com. so that the exch 2010 users will connect using their oa.domain.com url and exchange 2007 users will connect through webmail.domain.com.
i need your guys help to configure the 2010 CAS role and generate certificate so that the existing user will not impact.

Otherwise, it's often recommended to configure a "legacy.domain.com" DNS entry which allows users with mailboxes on E2K7 to continue to connect without having to enter a separate url.
