To pin a site with Internet Explorer 9, drag the tab from the browser to the taskbar. Alternatively, you can drag the site icon from the address bar or from the New Tab page and drop it on the taskbar to pin the site.

How to Pin a Website using the Keyboard

To pin a site shortcut by using the keyboard, press Alt+T (for the Tools menu). Select Add site to Start menu by pressing M (in Internet Explorer 9) or R (in Internet Explorer 10). When the dialog box appears, press Alt+A or Return to click the Add button. After the application is running on the taskbar, you can pin the shortcut there by navigating to the taskbar button, pressing the Application key to open the Jump List, and using the arrow keys to select Pin this program to the taskbar.

sharepoint 2010 timer deployment error.source code not working after changing the assembly deployment target from GAC to webapp and feature scope from webapplication to site

I have created two  sharepoint 2010 timers(full and incremental) with Assembly Deployment target scope set to GAC and Feature scope set to Webapplication .Both the Timers are using the same Business layer.I have packed the bussiness dll in Timer WSP.The code was working fine and the deployment was succesfull

Now i have changed the scope of both the Timers with Assembly Deployment target scope set to Webapplication and Feature scope set to site(changed the feature reciever code accordingly). The deployment was unsuccessful.It is throwing the below error(for both the timers).

Timer Jobs must be deployed to the GAC.  You can't change their deployment locations to the Web Application directory and continue to have the Timer Jobs function.  Deploying them to the GAC is one of the requirements for a Timer Job.

Restoring data from Public Folder - Help

 Hi,

I have an Exchange Server 2010 with a Public Folder.

Recently, an user deleted a folder and I could recovery it by restore from backup.

I am configuring an similar environment with the same AD and Exchange 2010 configuration using virtual machines, I will restore the database public folder.

The question is how can I connect the database public folder in that server? Through Recovery Database?

You can Restoring data from Public Folder. I would suggest you try another third party tool. With the help of this tool can easily repair Public Folder from exchange server and also convert EDB to PST. http://www.petri.co.il/edbtopst.htm

Finally i got a solution. What i did is i have configured the rule as like in my previous post. But i have did one more thing in my client side.

I had added my external DNS Server IP address to all my clients. Then my clients were connecting to their mailbox and also the mails were downloading.

We are running TFS 2005 in our environment and planning to migrate to TFS Azure.

We are evaluating TFS Azure since last 3-4 months with a test project and now ready to migrate but need clarification on following queries:

1. As per Microsoft they will come up with the pricing in 2013 but not sure which month?

Reporting Services authentication discussion

I am using sql 2012 as a database with windows server 2008 R2 for hosting my database, whereas my web applications are hosted on another server with windows server 2008 R2.
The issue is that I can access the reports hosted on the database server through the IE, by manually browsing into it. However, when trying to access the report using an asp.net application using report viewer I am facing the following error "System.Net.WebException: The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized"
I tried to install Kerberos authentication, but didn't succeed to make it work.

When I only imporsante the IIS authenticated user: <identity impersonate="true" />  it gives the same error above.

However, it works when I impersonate a specific user for all the requests of the ASP.NET Application, using this:
<identity impersonate="true" userName="username" password="userpassword" />

So here is my question:
What username does the IIS use to access the report server if no username is specified in the impersonation?
<identity impersonate="true" />

where should I grant this user an access to solve the problem?

Hi

If you mean DAG failover then your servers would need to be Windows 2008 (R2) Enterprise so unless your DC is running that already you would need to do a new install of Exchange on 2 servers.  I would go down that route anyway to avoid having a DC as an Exchange server and part of a cluster.

BizTalk 2010 and AX Dynamics 2012

Hi everyone,

We are in the analysis and design phase of a new project which will use BizTalk server 2010 to integrate with Microsoft AX Dynamics 2012. Currently we are preparing for a POC just for sending a sample xml document from BizTalk to AX2012.

I have read some articles and whitepapers about integrating BizTalk server 2010 with 2012. So in summary, there are two ways of sending documents to AX2012 from BizTalk which are :

1- AIF using inbound ports

2- Calling AX2012 Webservices direct without using AIF

Does anyone have any recommendations on what method is best practice to use ? what are the advantages and disadvatages for using each method.

New network does not connect to Internet

Hi Guys,

      I have been trying to create a network that contains only one particular subnet range to allow that subnet access to External through AD/TMG groups.  Here is what i have done so far:

  1. Created new network containing the required subnet range i.e. 192.168.x.x - 192.168.x.x
  2. Created network rule to allow the new network (Source) to access External (Destination) with the Default IP address settings for NAT
  3. Created a Web Proxy rule to allow HTTP/HTTPS traffic from the new network to External for a user group created within TMG from AD
  4. Tried to access the Internet with the account assigned to the TMG group but no success

I can replace the new network with the builtin Internal network (which has the same addresses as the new network i created) and successfully access the Internet but not when the new network is in the From field.

Our system:  Win2K8 R2 + TMG 2010 SP2 w/ all windows and Microsoft updates installed.

Any ideas?  Please let me know if you require more information

I have a problem , i need open port 5150 and 5160 from external to internal network, i use forefront TMG 2010 for my proxy. My question is what configuration that i can allow port 5150 and 5160 in forefront TMG?? what do i must?

Hello. Pls repeat this step.

1. TMG Management Console - Firewall Policy - Toolbox - Protocols click New - Protocol and add Protocol name click next click New and add your port address and complete first step.

2. TMG Management Console - Firewall Policy - Tasks - select Publish Non-web Servers Protocols select your ip , click next select your Protocol name and select external interface. And recheck again.

If you are not need  publish any ip address. Pls create new access rule external to internal and add your port address on this access rule.

we have 1 AD with FTMG 2010 Std SP1 with two adapters. i have workgroup machine on which web proxy is configured in internet explorer 9.we are using integrated authentication in FTMG 2010. now when we are going to use yahoo messenger it's not getting connected.

The Commission by environmental campaigners forecast 3 trillion euros would generate by 2050 on their green revolution campaign- to make EU energy almost totally carbon free.

The energy shift would already create around half a million extra jobs by 2020, Crown researchers from German aerospace center DLR, which also specializes in energy and transport, found. It has legislated to ensure that 20 percent of the energy mix is green by the said year, as part of a set of three main environmental goals. But it has yet to achieve agreement on binding targets beyond 2020, even though non-binding roadmaps have laid out the need for a virtually carbon-free electricity mix by 2050.

Commissioned by Greenpeace and the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC), the 2012 Energy evolution report lays out risk avoidance towards almost carbon-free energy. They include curbing energy demand through greater efficiency, increasing investment in wind and solar power and phasing out subsidies for carbon-intensive energy, such as coal.

To bring about the energy transformation, it sees a need to invest about 99 billion euros between now and 2050 or else this will be added on the list of renewable energy scam, but it says the financial gains are much greater. Renewable energy has no fuel costs; the fuel cost savings in the energy evolution scenario reach a total of 3, 010 billion euros up to 2050, or 75 billion per year.

Another benefit is job-creation, one of their strides in fraud prevention. The Crown report finds almost totally green energy would lead to half a million extra jobs compared with business as usual, as renewable energy initially demands more workers than carrying on with fossil fuel.

Gazing into my crystal ball (and noticing mention of "Mail address") I would wonder if you were being asked to use  telnet to an SMTP port?  Then a likely possibility is that you don't have telnet installed yet.  It is an optional feature in W7 (which I would also have to guess as being your OS.)   ;  }

Exchange Server 2007 SP1 TimeZone Issue in Description of Notification Mail

I am using the EWS 1.1 JAVA API for the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. I am trying to set the meeting time through this API and found the issue in Notification Description which is always showing me that Greenwich standard time is incorrect. It should show me the timezone which i have set for the Exchange Server e.g GMT + 2.South Africa Standard Time. In my Notification, It's converting the time perfectly in Subject (When:) but in Description (When: )it is displaying only the GMT which has been pass through API. It will be great if anybody can help me..

Else what i want is to remove the Description from the Body itself of the Notification which is given below.

 When you create the Meeting are you setting the StartTimeZone http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/exchange/dd633707%28v=exchg.80%29.aspx

 With the Text in the notification this for me is a bit of ongoing bug in EWS, The proper description for this is "downlevel text "which is documented in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee157367%28v=exchg.80%29.aspx. In EWS this is being added Server side when you request to send an Appointment Invite, Update, Cancellation. As far as i know there is no property on an object that you can set to tell EWS not to append the downlevel text.

HP psc 1210 all in one printer will not print direct connected to my computer with Windows XP software

Printer was working fine and just stopped. It kept reporting out of paper. I loaded new printer ,new driver and used Microsoft troubleshotter. It stated the problem is solved but it still will not print.
