This simply means any half decent submission to TechNet Wiki can win a medal... and a place in history!
Changes are under way in this competition, and medals will count towards REAL WORLD PRIZES in the new year...
So get in while you can, and start making a name for yourself in your favourite technologies
All you have to do is add an article to TechNet Wiki from your own specialist field. Something that fits into one of the categories listed on the submissions page. Copy in your own blog posts, a forum solution, a white paper, or just something you had to solve for your own day's work today.
Drop us some nifty knowledge, or superb snippets, and become MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY GURU OF THE MONTH!
This is an official Microsoft TechNet recognition, where people such as yourselves can truly get noticed!
HOW TO WIN

2) Add a link to it on THIS WIKI COMPETITION PAGE (so we know you've contributed)
3) Every month, we will highlight your contributions, and select a "Guru of the Month" in each technology.
If you win, we will sing your praises in blogs and forums, similar to the weekly contributor awards. Once "on our radar" and making your mark, you will probably be interviewed for your greatness, and maybe eventually even invited into other inner TechNet/MSDN circles!

Moving hyper-v install to hardware
Hi
Can we setup Windows 2016 std + Essentials + Exchange 2016 on hyper-v and once fully tested move this setup to the actual production hardware?
Thanks
Regards
Reply:
It might be possible, but not easily done. Virtual machines are not referencing physical hardware, so the VHD from which a VM boots does not have the device drivers for the physical devices to be used on the physical hardware. You can boot from the VHD and then run a repair to add the necessary drivers, but it is a bit laborious. I do not know how Exchange would react to something like that. You would need to ask the Exchange people. Exchange tends to be a beast unto itself when it comes to trying things on it that seem 'natural' on other installations.
The most effective way would be to script your installation procedures when deploying to the VMs. Then when you want to move to the physical environment, you can re-run your scripts to rebuild your environment. Gives a great DR tool when you are complete, also.

What prerequisites are you talking about? If you are referring to extending the AD Schema, then no. It only needs to be done once (for any version 2007, 2012, CB). Same goes for the System Management container, just add the new computer objects to the Site Systems AD group (if you created one) that you gave full control on the container or directly on the container (better to use a group).

Selective boot with mirrored drives
Is there a configuration where I can select boot between dual ssd hdd's? I have duplicated drives ( exact ) and wish to selectively boot depending on use, ie: work drive vs game drive.
I prefer not to use a 3d party program if Windows already has a feature that will do this. Thanks!
Windows 10 64bit
500gb ssd x 2
32gb ram
4.0hz i7 cpu
i use microsoft 2007 sp2
After Powershell Script - Server Service(s) crash
Hi Professionals
Following Situation:
Client (Windows 8.1) uses Script below for requesting status of Hyper-V Replication (Hyper-V Server 2k12 Core) Before of 3 Weeks ago the script was running smoothly all the time. Out of nowhere everytime the script runs the following Services on the Hyper-V Server crashes unexpected. No Updates have been installed nor any changes made on the server. The curious thing about it is that on another server in another domain another adress range asf. The Same curious issue happened as described at the same time.
- IP-Helper
- Server
- System Event Notification Service
- Task Scheduler
- Software Protection
- User Profile Service
I can use manually powershell commands from remote:
Invoke-Command -ComputerName server02 -ScriptBlock {Get-Process}
Get-VM -ComputerName Server02
Firewall is disabled.
I tryied
- winrm /quickconfig
- enable-psremoting
- sfc /scannow
- dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
No errors or corrupted files found. Someone has an Idea where to start?
Thank you Upfront for your Support!

Wireless Technologies
Hi everyone,
I think I have more experience than anyone alive today with wireless hackers getting into my computer, phone and sending unresponsive scripts that completely disable my devices ability to browse. Why doesn't Microsoft invest heavily in wireless technologies in all their aspects of R&D? Bluetooth devices, WiFi's, infra red capable devices are going to HAUNT humans in years to come! Yes I said HAUNT like in the horror movies where an elevator is hacked and kills its occupants, kitchen appliances used to start a fire. If hackers figured out what made the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 blow up when charging, the dangers are so real. Google wants driverless cars and I'll bet Microsoft is not far from this initiative either. Forget Snowden scaring people on how much access the government has to your information, imagine terrorists getting access to this information and causing a catastrophy from miles away. Bank accounts have been hacked with people getting access to mobile phones. The list of potential threats is endless. Where ever there is a wireless device the potential to hack into it is there. Whether its your house or car alarm, if it communicates, the wrong person can communicate with it. I am surprised how little the press and large companies like Microsoft are looking into this despite how much people's lives are going to be centered around wireless communication devices. Let me call them WCD's. The world needs to recognize this vulnerability and do some significant research in making sure that devices communicate only with the right intended people.
