Contacts table from Customers and Suppliers Tables
"My Customers table contains Customers names (companies as well as persons)": I mean that my customers can be either physical persons or companies, so I think that we are in case of 1 customer can have 1 or many contacts, and 1 contact cannot belong to more than 1 customer.
So I made Contact Table containing ID, Name, ..... , CustomerID,SupplierID,EmpoyeeID, ... to show whitch category the contact is belonging to. I'm almost certain that this idea is not yet the best.
Then I created a new table: Companies with ID, CompanyName to indicates which Company is customer and supplier at the same time, in order no to have the same contact twice.
Please is there any better thoughts ?Thanks in advance .Reply:
Hi
Follow the steps:
1. Make a table of Supplier(attribute1,.......,attributen).
2. make an contactDetail table which contain (contact information )
3.Make a relation between one to many between Contact and Supplier.

Hi,
I think it is better to use SSIS and schedule a job to execute the SSIS package every 15 minitues. you can use export/import wizard and save it as SSIS and schedule it

WF: Access Denied, Invalid requestor specified for Get Operation, MPR Grant Right Present
Hi
I've been working with FIM the last few months, recently I was copying an Authorization workflow and adding new attributes for the workflow. (1-1 copy for a new application)
I've been stripping things away in my WF to find the error, now all it does is, modify two Person Attributes, and send the default email notification to me
Now when I make my request, I instantly get an Access Denied: "Invalid requestor specified for Get Operation"
I'm thinking it's a permissions issue, however I did add the two Attributes to the "Security: Users can view BusinessApplication and AccessManagement attributes" MPR
I tried/checked a few things:
I can see the Grant Right WF is applied to my Denied Request.
If I make the request using my Admin account, the request window closes right after I click submit, aka. the policy is not applied (as intended)
I used the Explorer feature in MPRs to try and find all references to my Attributes, nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
I read the Troubleshooting info regarding Access Denied, but all it concludes is that the Grant Right Is applied.
Eventviewer isn't telling me anything more
How do I go about trouble shooting this?
Best Regards
Daniel

Any way to disable contact card popup on mouseover?
Hi there, I use Lync at work. Just wondering if there is any way to disable the contact card popping up when I hover over a contact.
I dont mind it but i comes up so fast and its really annoying when you are looking for a certain person and the card keeps popping up and you have to click somewhere else. Even if it was like a 2/3secs hover then popup... cause if you are on your way to clicking on someone it can popup and block the person.
Just a little thing but its really annoying me since we got Lync and cant find any way to trun it off or even adjust it.
Thanks
Reply:
Just to add, if you have lync in a small window with space on the left, the card opens to the left, but I prefer everything full screen so it only happens when its full.

Fully Ajax enabled Sharepoint Site
Guys,
please find some of the requirements which was submitted for us from a client as below with related to a SharePoint site which we were working.
- There will be many static pages in the site
- HR.aspx (Static content place holder with rich html texts)
- Finance.aspx (Static content place holder with rich html texts)
- Sports.aspx (Static content place holder with rich html texts)
- There should be only one Master page with a Quick Launch and Global Navigation.
- The entire site should behave with fully Ajax enabled.
- For ex:
- When the user clicks a link in the Quick launch only the contents in content placeholder (Body) should be updated according to the link that the user clicks. (For ex: when the user clicks a HR Quick Launch link, the contents related to HR should be loaded from the HR static page).
- When the user clicks on any links in the global navigation, entire page shouldn't get loaded. Only the contents should be loaded.
- For ex:
if anyone did something similar to above please share your experience. As well as any suggestions, inputs greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance,
Ammar

hi
first 2 requirements are natural for Sharepoint. But with last one it will be more complicated. In Sharepoint standard navigation is not implemented via ajax. Probably you will need to implement custom controls for current and global navigation. Check this post: The basics of navigation in Sharepoint. It may be helpful for beginning. Also note that even if you need to implement navigation via ajax, you will still need to make it possible for end users to refer page by url. In order to do that you can use e.g. Unique URLs ajax pattern.

Thanks Sadomovalex for your feedback.
For time being we were working on enabling Ajax for the QuickLaunch navigation. We are retrieving the contents of the static pages in our master page for Quick Launch using Ajax XMLHttpRequest.
<html><!-- example.html:public domain -->
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript">
function alertContents(httpRequest){
if(httpRequest.readyState==4){// everything is good, the response is received
if((httpRequest.status==200)||(httpRequest.status==0)){// FIXME: perhaps a better example is to *replace* some text in the page.
var htmlDoc=document.createElement('div');// Create a new, empty DIV node.
htmlDoc.innerHTML= httpRequest.responseText;// Place the returned HTML page inside the new node.
alert("The response was: "+ httpRequest.status+ httpRequest.responseText);}
else{alert('There was a problem with the request. '+ httpRequest.status+ httpRequest.responseText);}}}
function send_with_ajax( the_url ){var httpRequest =new XMLHttpRequest(); httpRequest.onreadystatechange=function(){ alertContents(httpRequest);}; httpRequest.open("GET", the_url,true); httpRequest.send(null);}
</script>
<p onClick="send_with_ajax('example.html');"> Click me!</p></html>

Free FTP gateway to Azure storage. Anyone interested?
Hello everyone!
Full disclosure: I'm the author of FTP to S3 gateway http://www.maluke.com/gate
I've recently started a free service to provide FTP access to Amazon S3 storage and will probably extend it to support WebDav and other protocols like SFTP. I'm also considering supporting access to Azure storage, but before I spend any time on it, I was wondering if anyone here would care to use a service like that?
I know there are a couple do-it-yourself projects of similar nature, but they all seemed fragile and are to be self-hosted anyway.
So the question is if there's any interest in a free FTP to Azure or WebDav to Azure gateway?
I sincerely hope this question is appropriate here and if not, please accept my apologies.
Thanks,
-Sergey

Hi Sergey,
I think a WebDav to Azure might be the most interesting. This will allow to open files directly in their application without having to 'download' them. We already see this behavior in SharePoint: thanks to WebDav to SQL users can open Word files, edit them, save them and the change is immediately applied in SharePoint.
For the FTP part I think there are a few implementations already:

WebDav support in Windows makes a lot of unnecessary requests (locking in particular) making it look slow even with a very fast gateway, with a bit of lag between the client and the server it would get really painful. I'm looking for ways to work around that, but it's not trivial.
I've had a look at the solutions you've linked previously and the second one is simply down (I'm guessing forever) and the first one has some issues like not supporting passive mode. Not to put those efforts down, but FTP access to Azure doesn't seem like a solved problem yet.
Thank you for your feedback, but for the moment my progress was stalled by the Microsoft itself -- they don't accept subscriptions from Ukraine yet, so I'll need to get someone to get me an account first, and I guess I'll implement the Rackspace CloudFiles, Google Docs and maybe Google Storage backends first.
If anyone else has any input on the matter, I'll be checking back on this topic periodically, so do leave a comment.

Hello,
Thank you for your post here.
Since RPC is not available, you will get error 53 (The network path was not found) when you attempt to logon to the server and attempt to shutdown the server via command. You may focus on how to troubleshoot the issue that RPC is not available. If you need to remotely restart the server, you may need to count on some 3rd party management tool.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Q. What is DSACCESS ?
A. which is responsible for system services that run from dynamic link libraries (files with extension .dll). Because it is used as a common system process, some spyware often uses a process name of "dsAccessService.exe" to disguise itself. By hiding under the fake name - “dsAccessService.exe”, spyware can damage more files and ruin your system gradually.

Q. What are Recipient Policies?
A. When you install Exchange for the first time, it determines
the format of the SMTP address you'll want for your users
based on your organization name and the DNS name of your
domain. It places the result into an Active Directory
object called a Recipient Policy

Q. What is the “issue” with trying to remove email addresses added by recipient policies? How would you fix that??
A. I had defined a number of email addresses in my 'Default Policy' under
Recipient Policies. Exchange did apply those email addresses to all
users with mailboxes. However now I am trying to remove some of those
addresses from the policy, and nothing seems to get it to update the
user objects. All users have 'Automatically update e-mail addresses
based on recipient policy' checked. I've updated and rebuilt the
Recipient Update Services and have right-clicked on the policy and
clicked 'Apply Now...' to no avail.

Combine Desktop Rt Clk & Power (button) Options
I offer you, now, a way to Rt Clk on the Desktop & have all that Rt Clk normally gives + cascade to Power (button) options as well. Eliminates need to have Power button on Taskbar & combines 2 things into 1.
Credit for these goes to Don from another Tech Forum.
Hello all,
Back again with another "Power Option", only this one is a cascading menu, placed via registry script in to the "Right Click Context Menu"
And once again, thanks to Vishal for the creation.

Note: For Windows 7 & 8 only
Hope you find these useful
So, now, you have 2 choices... Normal Rt Clk on Desktop & Power button on Taskbar OR BOTH via Rt Clk on Desktop
The combined choice, I suggest, is the best, as it has everything one would want w/ no 'configuring'.
Cheers,
Drew
