Map Network Drive - Windows 2008 Cluster
Hi.
I have a SQL Server in a Windows two node cluster environment. I want to map a network drive from other server in this environment to make sql server dts packages create files in this drive.
How do i do that? Do i need to create this mapping as a cluster service, if it is possible, or just create two mappings , one in each node?

How to fully delete the object from FIM?
Hello!
We are synchronizing user and group accounts via FIM Oracle MA to the FIM portal (FIM MA), and then to the Active directory (AD MA).
We have some groups objects, that account name contains restricted symbols like "/". We have created the filter for restricted symbols in the Oracle and the new groups has provisioned in the active directory. When the synchronization cycle to the AD finishes, we have errors generated "The name provided is not a properly formed account name" from old invalid group objects. I was tried to delete ERE, disconnect connectors (which deletes metaverse object too), but after the next synchronization cycle, the error is back. How to delete completely these groups from FIM?

One way is to...
1. In Metaverse: Disconnect all MAs, disconnect FIM Service MA last. This will delete object in Metaverse.
2. In FIM Portal delete object
3. Import the delete in FIM Service MA to delete the object from the FIM Service MA Connector Space.
4. Delete in other Connected Data Sources (if required) and import the delete to prevent projection from re-recreating the object in Metaverse and FIM Service.

Already i went with that link,my problem is i can able to get the header in excel after exporting but the excel is getting spilted in to number of sheets as i follwed grouping technique with page break concept in reportbuilder so only i'm geeting multiple sheets but i need single sheet with entire data that can able to spilt in to muliple pages with header in each page while taking print out y because end user can not go by selecting an option all sheets each and every time while taking print out ,so please reply me whether it can possible in ssrs

Feature Request
Hello, this is a feature request to get "CTRL+" in the Operations Manager Console to autosize the columns to fit all the text.
(you can see an example of this in appwiz.cpl or services.msc)
In a product which is saving us time, its also slowing us down. I use CTRL+ in every single application which supports it. SCOM is replete with colums and having to resize them every time you go to a new view (because the views dont remember that you sized the columns differently than the default)
I DONT want the columns to resize on page load, I want the control to do it myself when I choose and CTRL+ is the best way I know of.

UAG SSTP Split tunnel - missing route
I have the following setup:
The UAG split tunnel is configured using the method described in Ben-Ari's book and customizing UAG on page 412. My problem is that when the split tunnel is established I cannot connect to my LAN resources unless I manually add a route on the client.

For me to be able to access LAN resources I need to run:
ROUTE ADD 192.168.1.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 192.168.100.100 with a connection to UAG1
-or
ROUTE ADD 192.168.1.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 192.168.200.100 with a connection to UAG2
How do I set this up to work without me having to add the route manually?

Hi,
I believe you have enabled split tunneling by unchecking "Use default Gateway on Remote Network" in Advanced TCP/IP properties in SSL adapter in client machine.
Since it is not feasible and supported from UAG side SSTP congiguration, you have to rely on some workaround like what you have done here. Moreover, doing NAT in networking rule in TMG does not going to help as your packets for detination internal lan 192.168.1.0 are not coming to SSTP server (here UAG) till you configure manual routes pointing to SSTP gateway address(200.100 & 200.200)

Hi Amig@. As Ashu says, that is an issue related to not having UAG as the default gateway. From your routing table I can see that your internal network is 192.168.1.0/24 however the pool for assigning addresses to VPN clients is 192.168.200.0/24 so a route is needed to send packets from 192.168.200.0 (the VPN clien's subnet) to 192.168.1.0 (the internal subnet). In a non-split tunneling UAG will route all packets but in your case you need to manually specify that route. This is just an IP routing issue. I remember with CMAK you could insert some static routes as part of the dial-up connecton, but it required administrative privileges when launching the connection. Not sure if through Ben's customization a section containing static routes can also be added to the phonebook entry.

@RMoros, you are correct that it is a routing issue. My question is if there is another way, other than using CMAK, to add that route to the client? I am imagining somthing like a route on the TMG or similar.
For now I have the problem solved by adding a static route to the client but as this grows with more people using it, that is not a viable solution.

Tooltip text not appearing
Hi Everyone,
I'm having an issue with tooltips. They will display properly in Visual Studio during development, but when I deploy the reports to the server, the tooltips aren't displaying. I'm accessing the reports with both IE8 and IE9.
The reports are on SSRS 2008 R2 SP1. Any ideas or things to check?

An update:
I've now discovered that the tooltip won't display whenever the custom assembly is queried. Removing those expressions, and the reference itself, enables tooltips again. This behavior doesn't happen in Visual Studio, only deployed reports.
Using the output from the custom assembly in the 'value' area of the textbox will still work fine. Only the tooltip seems to be affected.

Outlook Anywhere showing Trying to connect to Microsoft Exchange Server

One user in our organization is facing problem with outlook. He is using outlook anywhere. When he opens outlook it is always showing trying to connect to microsoft exchange. Some time it gets connected automatically, but most of the time it doesn't.
Internet and dns is working fine. We are able to access the mail through OWA. We disabled anti-virus and tried.
Recreated the outlook profile and account. Uninstalled and installed office. He is using outlook 2007 sp2.
can anybody can help me to get this fixed..

Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 SP1 on Windows 7 runs extremely slow
Hi all,
please could someone giver me some pointers.
I have installed Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5 SP1 update 2 on a windows 7 machine. installs without issues.
I open up the application and start entering the server details and go to locate the database (from here it starts to hang) and it is extremely slow!
it takes around 2-3 min. just to enter the navigation menu and to try and click a function or enter a module is even slower.
Tried, re installing, .Net files versions, not sure what to do... HELP... :-)

We are planning configure UAG array for high availability ..What are requirement for configure UAG Array?
. Do we need to join the array memers to the same domain.Can I join the UAG servers which is in workgroup to an array.Because the UAG servers are in DMZ and management do not want to join the UAG servers in to a domain.
. If the AMS server is down can we still access the published application.
.If we can't go for array configuration(because of its in work group),what are other option we have for UAG high availability.Can we configure MS clustering for UAG high availability.

I have tried to separate and answer your different questions below:
a) Do we need to join the array memers to the same domain.
Yes, the Array members need to be a part of the same domain.
As mentioned in the quote below, it can be a dedicated domain for your DMZ environment though.

One thing you can do is to create a secondary setup with an identical setup and use an external loadbalancer (or manually change the DNS entries) to point to those IP acdresses instead.

Active Directory Valid Access code for printers
Hi All,
Is there anyway to add the valid access code to an Active Directory user's account based on their department? At my company we have about 500 employees and I don't want to manually go in and change the valid access code for all of them. It would be much easier if it would be automatically input based on their department, or a group that they're in.
All the users are using Windows 7, and all our printers are Ricoh.

I need to create a windows application which will access SharePoint 2010 site page to stote that page in ".htm" format in local drive.
But, that SharePoint site has claim based authentication.
For accessing that site I have to provide "Username" & "Password" along with "Domain name".
So, I need help on how can I pass site credentials through windows application to get access into that site??

But in 2 you are saying save SP site page as .htm, you can't do this, what you can do is open the page in SharePoint Designer and look at its HTML

But, the SP sites which I am trying to access have Claim based authentication that's why not able to enter into those SP sites. I have written some code (refer first post) but that is working with classic authentication not in claims, showing "The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden" exception.
Give me some idea regarding this...

Hi Lalit,
You need to configure your web application to use 2 zones, 1 for Claim based authentication and one for Windows Authentication.
So that you can use Windows Authentication URL to write your code..

Have you tried using the object model? Are both the web applications on the same farm?
It would be in the lines of Looping through the one library and adding the SPListItems to the new document library?

Hi Wener,
The problem now is not about the move of files, its about authentication when trying to access web application configured to authenticate through Claims Authentication, in this case, you need to configure your web application Zone to have one for Claims authentication and other for Windows Authentication..
There will be 2 different URLs, as if it is public internet side, the URL for public is different than the URL when administering the website, which asks for credentials.
So when he configures his site with this 2 zones, he can use the zone with windows authentication to move any files.
