Codec issues with Windows Media player 11 - Free Codec Package Found!
After trying it myself, the first thing I went to test was video codec support. I found it to be lacking. This has been a big issue in previous versions of Windows Media players. Audio files are no problem, images, not an issue, its the video type support that falls short. Again, unless you are playing a standard AVI or WMV file for example ,there are issues with other codecs such as Xvid, DivX, Mov and so on.So whats the solution if you want to keep using windows Media player 11 you ask? A Vista Codec Pack v4.7.x has just been released containing all the codecs you would possibly need to play your new and old video files. Its a free download. With this package installed, you shouldn't need to install any other codec or filter. It does not contain a media player and it doesn't associates filetypes. With this package installed you will be able to use any media player, limited only by the players' capabilities, to play DVD's, movies and video clips of almost any filetype.Streaming video is supported in all popular web browsers.
By default you won't need to make any adjustments to enjoy a variety of media content immediately. Get it at Softpedia.com , there are instructions there to assist you in the installation.Support from the developer of the Vista Codec Package can be obtained on the MSFN Forums.

Tip: Resetting New Performance Counters
1. Create a DWORD named "ResetCountersOnStart" under: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Forefront Server Security\Office Communications Server [Software\Wow6432Node on 64-bit systems]
2. Set the value to 1
3. Start (or Restart) Forefront services and OCS
NOTE: Once this is done, consider whether this behavior is something that is desired each time the service starts up. If not, be sure to remove the new key or set the DWORD value to 0 to ensure that the behavior does not occur each time the service starts up. This behavior only applied to the new performance categories:
Microsoft FSOCS Categorizer
Microsoft FSOCS Health
Microsoft FSOCS Sip Traffic
Microsoft FSOCS Scan Filter
ShreyS
Forefront Server Security (DEV)

Hi,
can you check in the execution details tab for warnings and error messages and tell us, so that it will help in understanding the scenario.
Place the data viewers(say Grid view) on the precedence constraint of the SQL destination, so that you can check whether the data is inserting to the db table correctly.

Hi,
From your description, I understand you have configured the corresponding Group Policy to prevent Printer redirection, but when running remoteapp, the application tries to use the printer on itself instead of the printer on Terminal server. If I misunderstood, please let me know.
To further assist on this issue, could you please help collect the following log files to indicate how you configured Group Policy to disable Printer redirection?
a) On the a desktop workstation, run "gpupdate /force" to reapply the group policies. Then run "gpresult /v >c:gp.txt"
b) You also You can use the GPMC (group policy management console) to collect the group policy result data:
- On the server that has GPMC installed, login to the domain with administrator account.
- In the GPMC, process the Group Policy Result wizard to collect the data of RSOP.
i) Right click Group Policy Results---> Group Policy Results Wizard…
ii) Choose Another computer to point to a client computer that user logs on and click next.
iii) Select the logon user and click next.
You also can export the Group Policy Result report and send it with gp.txt to me via (tfwst@microsoft.com) for the further investigations.

I'm glad you were able to find an answer to your question. I'll take care of removing it from the VSTO forum, but please note: The VSTO forum is not the correct place to ask questions about OWC. There is a newsgroup for that, you'll find the link in the VSTO forum's "Please Read First" message (that also outlines what VSTO is).

excellent solution
This recommendation worked fantastically. I say this because I have spend three days on this issue. Curiously, I had this problem on my home computer running xp and tried to find answers on google at work, running vista. All I got there was answers that sent me to commercial register programs that would have cost me approx 40.00. When I searched Code 37 from my home xp computer I happened upon this anser which was quick, easy and WORKED. Thank you so much.

Unlocking policy labels (Sharepoint) in Office documents
I am trying to unlock a Policy Label using the Invoke method you use here in your example, my only problem is the WordApplication spawns a Accept/Cancel dialog when I run the following:
object objWB = wordApplication.GetType().InvokeMember("WordBasic", System.Reflection.BindingFlags.GetProperty, null, wordApplication, null);
objWB.GetType().InvokeMember(
"UnlockPolicyLabel", System.Reflection.BindingFlags.InvokeMethod, null, objWB, null );How can I get this InvokeMember to automaticly accept or OK the action im trying to perform...
Thought you might know since you are so clever to have been using this type of invocation already.

All I can say is that if I use this in Word's VBA "Immediate Window" it runs without error, and without displaying a message. I don't know what might make it behave differently for you, whether it's an issue with your installation or an issue with calling it via PInvoke (which shouldn't actually be the case). You might see whether using WordBasic.UnlockPolicyLabel works the same run from Word's VBA editor on the same machine...
Beyond that, I recommend posting to a newsgroup or forum that supports the technology linked to a "Policy Label" (Sharepoint)?

The above explains what a policy label is, Its part of MS-Office 2007, 2007 introduced the lock/unlock aspect. The method I describe above is similiar to WordBasic.UnlockPolicyLabel Command thru VSTO. The code I provided shows how to perform this action in Visual Studio using a language called C# (C-Sharp). Since you wrote previously using this form of code (InvokeMember) from a GetType() Object I thought you may be familiar with how to pass the Accept, Enter or return to OK the dialog this call makes when word is automated.
The link above shows the dialog you see when you try and unlock a Word-DOCx file that has a Label on it created using the Policy Label insert command in the ribbon bar.
This thread goes on to: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vsto/thread/9bf2ad60-a221-4a89-9bbc-487369050c4e/ Which you reply you have no idea what I am talking about: Are you the Same Cindy in each thread, or did you fail to connect the two threads together?
